External Credentials

Setup guides for the external credentials Cortex uses to connect to third-party APIs and services.

This section explains how to create and add credentials for external systems that Cortex talks to on your behalf. Unlike Cortex API keys, which authenticate callers into Cortex, these credentials let Cortex reach outward to provider APIs such as GitHub or other model and data services.

Each integration guide should cover the same core questions: what the credential is for, what needs to be created in the external provider, how to add it in Cortex, and any common validation or troubleshooting notes.
